on the edge of a dream
Let our minds slip into fiction.
Most people expect a photograph to be an exact copy of a small part of the real world, so when they are confronted with an image that contains unrealistic elements, this may seem obscure.
I found the beauty of fine art photography after I stopped digitally manipulating my images. Using a slower shutter speed, I am adding a surrealist "spark" to what would otherwise be a very realistic scene. It is about visualizing the invisible, and creating a mysterious atmosphere. I use abstraction to blur boundaries and express emotions.
By creating images that disrupt the logical order of reality, I'm searching and asking: "Is life a beautiful dream or a nightmare..."
